How this works
Adding VAT — multiply the net amount by (1 + VAT rate):
gross = net × (1 + rate)
Removing VAT — divide the gross amount by (1 + VAT rate):
net = gross ÷ (1 + rate)
The VAT amount is the difference between gross and net.
